Oscoda Beach Lodgings

Author: Richard Rspad

Oscoda is located on the Michigan shores of Lake Huron and is one of the top vacation destinations for the lake. As you might imagine, there are plenty of Oscoda beach lodgings in the area.

Oscoda Beach Lodgings

Oscoda, Michigan is located on Lake Huron in the AuSable area of the state. This area is great for those vacationers who want to stay in an area full of beaches and beautiful wilderness, all within a reasonable drive from Detroit, Michigan. Oscoda is home to a two lane 22 mile paved roadway named River Road National Forest Scenic Byway. This Byway is meant to be enjoyed by car, and is a great place to start your Oscoda trip.

While you're driving along the River Road National Forest Scenic Byway, you can stop at the Lumbermen's Monument Visitor Center, which centers on the theme of early logging days in the area and provides a great place to have a picnic. You could also stop at Eagle's Nest Overlook, home to a pair of bald eagles, which is one of the most well-known and beautiful overlooks of the Huron National Forest area.

When choosing a place to stay at, take a look at the many Oscoda beach lodgings. Barefoot Beach, located four miles north of Oscoda, sits on 200 feet of sugar sand beaches along Lake Huron. This destination offers eight cottages, each of which are equipped with a kitchen and TV, and seven of the cottages house two bedrooms. Also available at Barefoot Beach are a playground, volleyball court, horseshoe court and bonfire pit. All of these cute cottages face the beautiful view of Lake Huron and the beach.

If you are looking for more luxury out of these Oscoda beach lodgings, try the Manor House - Oscoda. Located nestled between Lake Huron and AuSable River, this luxury destination offers such amenities as breakfast delivered to your room and river or lake views. Some rooms have fireplaces, private decks and cathedral ceilings as well, to add to the sense of opulence found here. Rooms are decorated in various sea and water themes, making your beach getaway complete.

Choosing to stay at one of the Oscoda beach lodgings can make your trip to Lake Huron and the AuSable area a beautiful and restful vacation. All of these lodgings offer amenities and views of beaches and water that are sure to please, whether you're traveling to the area with your family or on a romantic retreat.
