This is a subject very close to my heart. Not only because I am a Clairvoyant but because I am appalled at the number of people who are not genuine within this work. I have heard horrid tales from people that have come to me for a sitting of psychics that demand money for spells to be lifted and others that claim they can see a sitters death or serious illness looming. I have, in the past, worked for Tarot/psychic phone lines, of course I would not name names but I flatly refuse to work for any of even the large companies now because I have challenged their ethics.

When working for companies such as these you are issued with a table of stats at the end of each month, in other words how many minutes you have worked on the lines. If you are a person that consistently has callers on the lines for a minimum of 18 minutes then you are a favourite. If on the other hand, like me, you will not detain callers because you know they are spending 1.50 a minute listening to you, then you are most likely heading for trouble with the company that you are working for. Your shifts are cut and less calls are put through to you.

I argued my point one day to a phone line company that I worked for. I was told that my call times were too random, and whilst my callers stayed on the line for an average of 12-15 minutes, on occasions I dropped to 6-8 minutes. This was not acceptable because of the poor revenue it generated. Frankly, I cannot say that I was surprised as Ive heard this many times before but I felt disappointed and frustrated. Conversely I had callers that would phone back time and time again, because they valued my intuitive ability.

I told the person in question that I felt it unethical to pad out a reading if it was not necessary. If someone phones me who is bereaved and they either want a Spirit link with their lost loved one or a husband has walked out and they need a Tarot reading to see past the next day, I flatly refuse to keep them longer than it takes me to tell them what I see. I would not want it done to me so why would I do it to another person?

Ultimately, over a period of a couple of years I decided that sadly the motivation is of course money. Whilst many of these peoples ideals start out as Spiritual they lose sight of that as time progresses and the cash rolls in.

Therefore when I began working professionally for myself I chose not to have an 0906 number initially. I felt that a face to face reading would be more valuable as it is what I would personally choose. Over time I have had to turn down countless people for readings because I cannot give them a pay on the phone bill option. It seems even in this area of life people do not have the time to come and sit down for 1 hour. They need a quick response on the phone. Of course there are situations where people live too far away and a phone reading is the alternative and for this I offer a set charge and fee.

So, as it appears that society cannot slow down for a connection with Spirit my 0906 number goes live next week..wish me luck.
