Be Part of the Action at Universal Studios Tours

Author: Philip Culver

Heres a rare chance for television fans to be on-camera for a real live TV show. Thats right. Universal Studios Tours is opening the doors of its Fear Factor Live TV show to the studio audience.

Fear Factor Live will tap volunteers from the audience to participate in the various stunts on the show. And with as many as three to five shows each day, everyone has a pretty good chance of getting in front of the cameras.

Or maybe youre one of those people who get a kick out of testing themselves, out of seeing just how fearless you can be. Then that is all the more reason to give this a shot. Fear Factor Live is for real. It is not a cheesy rip-off of Fear Factor. The stunts are real and are performed by amateurs from the studio audience, just like you. Coddling participants is simply out of the question.

So, do you dare face your fears? If you do, then visit the Fear Factor Live casting office, located near the Terminator ride in the Universal Studios theme park. There are a few physical requirements you must meet in order to ensure that you can hurdle the challenges that the show will throw your way. Participants must also fill up and sign a liability form which holds Universal Studios and Fear Factor harmless if any unforeseen injuries or damages occur.

In addition, members of the studio audience who were not selected for the different challenges can still face their fears. Before the shows start, these audience members are invited to face some smaller challenges, such as eating various bugs and the like. The person who wins the pre-show contest takes home some great prizes, such as an annual pass to the theme park.

Six contestants from the studio audience are selected by the casting office for each show. They are dressed in the same tight uniforms as the contestants on the original Fear Factor series. And, like in the original Fear Factor, they are presented with a series of challenges -- falls from high places, skill tests and the famous gross-out challenge. And in every show, one other audience member is picked at random to participate in yet another challenge like, say, sticking their head in a tank full of scorpions.

So, if youre one of those people who have boasted before that you can take on any of the challenges on Fear Factor, here is your chance. Visit Fear Factor Live at Universal Studios Tours now. The casting office is always open to entertain brave souls like you.
