Many times manufacturers of DVD burners will include software with the purchase, but there are other more advanced programs available for moviemakers, professional or otherwise.

A DVD burner can be a real advantage over a regular CD creator. Since DVDs can hold so much more information, storing movies, files and photographs on a single disk will be easier. It will also be easier to share those files with other. A simple CD burner may work for some, but for those with a lot of files, a passion for movies and photos and even music, the only way to go is a DVD burner.
